This is the story of Simone Geale – she was a member of our front desk team from 2013 to 2015 – and her remarkable experience:
My Chiropractic journey has been a life changing experience.
I was always very skeptical of chiropractors. I always knew of the term Chiropractic in the Mechanistic view, Doctors who would only help with back pain, neck pain, headaches and injuries; you would go to them once or twice for a quick “crack and click” and when you were out of pain you stopped going, until the next time you were in pain.
I started working for Peak Chiropractic in October 2013 and had my first consultation a few weeks later. Dr Venning went through an in-depth health history, a full examination and asked me to go for some X-Rays to get a full picture of what was going on. When I had my report Dr Venning confirmed that I had a severe scoliosis, an abnormal curve in the spine. You can see my actual X-Rays in the picture below.
I realised my back pain was the result of an underlying health problem which had been accumulating throughout the years.
I was diagnosed with Asthma at the age of 8 years old and at the beginning of every change of season, for the past 17 years, I usually had a couple of asthma attacks. What often started as a running nose, turned into a dry scratchy cough that usually turned into bronchitis and then into a severe asthma attack. I have been on heavy asthma medication practically all my life. I started my adjustments with the Advanced BioStructural Correction (ABC)™ technique (the technique that our doctors use) which helps to remove misalignments (subluxations) and improves posture. Since I started my adjustments, I have less pain, have had fewer asthma attacks and have been able to breathe clearer with very little use of an asthma inhaler. Chiropractic adjustments have helped to free up the subluxations in my spine and nervous system, which have helped to send the signals to my airways and my lungs; all this without the use of medications.
My Chiropractic journey has made a remarkable difference in my life. Since I started working for Peak Chiropractic and getting adjusted regularly it has turned my life around. The changes I have made in my life have been rather simple. I have changed the way I sit, sleep, and stand and have felt a remarkable difference. I have also changed the way I move (exercise), think (mental/emotional), and eat more wholesome foods. Obviously, receiving regular adjustments has been the most significant contribution in my life.
The vitalistic Chiropractic philosophy has opened up my eyes to a more holistic approach and made positive changes in all aspects of my life. Chiropractic has become an essential part of my healthy lifestyle.
